The Future of Fastrack

With considerable amounts of new homes, Thameside is growing rapidly, and Fastrack is growing with it. There have been recent improvements such as the new Rennie Drive Junction, which has improved the flow of Fastrack through the Bridge Estate.

We are excited to have extended route E to Bluewater in the near future, with the construction of the new Fastrack road through the Whitecliffe Development, and continue to work with the developers to open new bus stops along the route. This makes Fastrack the easiest and quickest way to get from Castle Hill, Ebbsfleet and Alkerden to Bluewater. At Bluewater there's more than 300 shops, alongside a huge range of dining and entertainment options. Go for a walk around the nature reserve or catch a Fastrack service to somewhere else in Thameside.

Kent County Council has a bold project to begin improving the Fastrack bus stops. With a bold new design, the new shelters will offer improved real-time information, green roofs and phone charging.

Since taking over the contract to operate the Fastrack network, Go-Ahead has introduced a range of new technologies. Go-Ahead is an industry pioneer in tap-on, tap-off ticketing, which means that you get the best value for money whenever you travel. We have also introduced our improved mobile app, and are working with Kent County Council to deliver new traffic light priority technology, further improving the speed and experience of your Fastrack bus service.
