PlusBus
If your child is not eligible for a Kent Travel Saver or free school travel above, and travels by train as well as using bus services in and around Thameside, a PlusBus ticket can be a good value option. Child day PlusBus day tickets start from £2.15 and a monthly season ticket costs as little as £35.10 when purchased with an accompanying train ticket. Discovery
A Discovery Ticket gives you unlimited travel in Kent and the south of England for a day on most major operators in West Sussex, East Sussex, Brighton & Hove, East Hampshire, Surrey, Kent & Medway, and is an excellent option if your considering travelling by bus beyond the Thameside area - such as a trip to the seaside or a hike on the Downs. Child day tickets are £8, and a family ticket for up to 5 people (including a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 adults) is £20.
